Auto Glass Repair Information

How do I know if the damage can be repaired?

If your windshield damage is smaller than the size of a quarter, then it may qualify for repair. However, certain determinants may play a role in its reparability. Contact us to receive a free auto glass repair estimate...

How soon can you get me in?

In many instances, we can get you scheduled for same or next day service. Simply request an appointment or give us a call. We’ll get you going as fast as we can.

How long will my repair take?

Depending on the weather, windshield repairs can be performed in a matter of 30-45 minutes, start to finish. Remember, vehicle windshields must be dry for at least 24 hours before we perform the repair. The moisture may advance the pressure and crack out the windshield. If you have more than one chip, add about 15 minutes each. View our Repair Guide to learn more about auto glass repairs.

Will I have to wait with my vehicle?

It is not necessary to wait with your vehicle. However, we do ask that you have your vehicle keys available for the technician. We also have free courtesy cars available for your convenience, so that you can carry on with your day while your car is being worked on.

How does the repair process work?

Performing a windshield repair is a highly technical process that consists of injecting a specially formulated resin into the damaged area and then curing it with ultraviolet light. The strength and clarity is sufficiently restored for safety-related purposes. This process generally takes 30-45 minutes. View our Repair Guide to learn more about these processes.

How will the windshield look after repair?

Your rock chip should become noticeably clearer when repaired. However, clarity is dependent upon the size, age, the amount of glass missing from the center, and the quantity of fragmented glass within the break. When looking through the glass, vision should not be impaired.

How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

How soon can I drive my car after the windshield has been replaced?

In order to ensure the windshield is safe and secure, our technicians recommend waiting to drive the vehicle for at least one hour after service is completed. We will be sure to advise you if any additional time is required.

Will I have to wait with my vehicle?

It is not necessary to wait with your vehicle. However, we do ask that you have your vehicle keys available for the technician. We also have free courtesy cars available for your convenience, so that you can carry on with your day while your car is being worked on.

Will you replace the stickers that are already on my windshield?

When possible, our trained technicians will take great care to remove any stickers or items that are affixed to your old windshield and will switch them over to your new windshield so that you will not lose the information.

What about my rearview mirror?

Removing your rearview mirror and attaching it to your new windshield is part of our job. This will always be done prior to completing your service.

Will you install used glass that I supply?

Yes. In most cases, we are able to install used glass that you supply. However, we are not able to warrant the glass or installation due to the lack of knowledge or information on the quality, stress and history of the used glass.

What if my windshield is leaking after being replaced?

If we originally installed the windshield for you, we will be more than happy to fix the problem, at no cost to you, as part of our lifetime warranty against leakage. We assure you that Auto Glass Systems takes all of the necessary steps to set the windshield right the first time around.

What type of auto glass will you install in my vehicle?

We use the most current, highest quality auto glass that is available from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), such as LOF (Pilkington) Auto Glass, PPG Glass, and Guardian Glass.

Can you replace my auto glass in inclement weather?

We will not install your auto glass in the rain or snow for both safety and manufacturer reasons. In order to provide mobile auto glass service during inclement weather, we will need suitable shelter, such as your garage. Furthermore, during the colder parts of the year, we will need to be able to meet certain temperature requirements in order to guarantee a safe and successful installation.

Do you replace auto glass other than the front windshield?

Yes, absolutely. We service virtually all auto glass parts, including side, quarter and back glass, rear cab sliders, sunroofs and T-tops. We also repair and replace window motors and regulators and vinyl tops. Visit the Our Work section of our site to see what other services we can provide for you.
